Amidst vedic hymns and rituals, Swami's MahaSamadhi is completed today. I'm at Hospet and on leave today. At least, i could watch a part of Swami's last rites being performed, on TV channel. Swami's life span has been 85 years and 96 years according to the Sanskrit calender (which Swami has proclaimed to be His life span). Swami's teachings would continue to inspire many and draw more crowds to Puttaparthi in the days to come. One worrisome aspect is about the management of the Satya Sai Trust. I believe the great deeds of Swami would continue unabated, despite hardships. It requires iron will and commitment. I pray all controversies surrouding the management of the Trust should give way to the real purpose of the formation of the Trust. I don't see any other place on earth where kids can have a better education.

Be Good; Do Good
Yet to come to terms with Swami's departure. When i see people very callously criticizing Swami, it pains. They don't have a iota of idea of whom they're criticizing. Let them not acknowledge Him as God but why abuse Him? And i fail to understand how on one hand people pray to the invisible Gods and ignore the living God. Rather than simply criticizing Swami for no reason, why can't they at least try exploring what is Sai all about. If they do that, they will be drawn in to Swami for sure. Swami's teachings are very simple. He didn't force anyone to convert to any religion, nor make them undergo any rituals. He propounded humans to be good, do good; as simple as that. I feel fortunate that I've lived in Swami's era. (I'm searching for the equivalent word; i forgot it). In this life, i have had the opportunity to have Swami's darshan. When Swami comes as Prema Sai (His next avatar to be born 8 years after Satya Sai avatar), i pray to have padasparshan (blessings) and Sambhashan (talk). Swami's body is now kept at Sai Kulwanth Hall for darshan and the last rites would be performed tomorrow morning. And i'll be at Hospet tomorrow and day after to attend my sister-in-law's function. She's now in 7th month and would soon deliver a baby. I wish its a baby girl.

Swami's demise left us orphaned, Lonely and secluded
Its a hard fact to digest since its known that Swami will no longer be seen in blood and flesh. Though Swami will live in the millions of hearts that he has transformed with love, its very painful to see the controversies surrounding the ashram trust. With lots of stakes involved, politicians will try to take over the trust and malign it. That would be the last thing any Swami's devotee would expect to see. Would the same serene atmosphere of Prashanthi Nilayam, all the philanthropic activities that Swami has undertaken continue in the same way unabated? We're waiting for a miracle to happen. Swami, please manifest in some way show your presence to the people.

Yesterday's newspapers cried foul of the depriving law and order in the city quoting a gang rape of a poor girl. The girl was found bleeding in a busy area and was hospitalized. Immediately women's organizations, Minority groups (she attended the Church before the incident). The report found fault with the police ineptness in not tracing the culprits till the end of the day. As it turned out, the girl spent time with her boyfriend which led to the bleeding as reported in The Hindu today. This is our media. An incident can be reported in exactly opposite way and manipulate public feelings. Strange........

Down the memory lane!!
Looks like its been ages since i wrote my last blog. I should tell myself to be more active in blogging. Kid is now 2 years and a month old. Started speaking and rendering small rhymes. He stays away from us, at his grandmother's place away from all the hustle and bustle of Hyderabad. I wish he is here and we miss all his antics. We're going to see him this weekend. Thats it for today. I'll try to be active on blogs hereafter.. Signing off...
